I’ve been browsing around here and elsewhere looking for some advice, so I figured it would be best to just ask directly. To cut a long story short: my friend, whom I have known since primary school and probably spend more time with than my own girlfriend, asked me to hold his key. I inquired where he had parked it, and then he went on to explain.
He has been attempting chastity solo but kept giving way (cracking). He decided the choice was between myself or his brother holding the device, and a discussion with his mum wasn’t one he wanted. So far, he hasn’t asked me for anything else other than not returning the key for six months.
We have had some lighthearted banter about it, but we haven’t quite managed a serious chat yet. All I know is that he basically enjoys it. Initially, I didn’t understand this at all, but after reading through various things—particularly the fiction—it does sound rather appealing to give control over to someone else.
However, what I can’t find are any descriptions of what’s in it for a guy who is doing this on his own. I realize most people here will be those within relationships, but I was hoping there might be one or two solo individuals among us. Does the experience differ from person to person? Or is there a common thread? I want to help out, but I keep worrying that it might just be some kind of gesture. Are there any self-chastising men here who could guide me?
