I might be the odd one out, but do you men realize how much women dislike the word PIV? I’m certainly not by myself; every other woman I’ve consulted has given me the same answer. It feels so incredibly technical. More importantly, I just don’t see why we need it at all. What is wrong with saying ‘we had sex’ or ‘we made love’? Or if you want to be precise and graphic, ‘we fucked.’ We absolutely adore those words; they bring up positive feelings for us, provided we are open about our sexuality. Yet no, you insist on shrinking it down to ‘Penis in Vagina,’ as though we were specimens under a microscope. Then of course, you abbreviate it into an acronym, forcing us to ASK YOU what it means, feel foolish doing so, and then feel repelled by the term itself. Well done, gentlemen. That is exactly how to turn women off. Here is my suggestion: Stop using PIV or ‘PIV’ed forever. Only use Penis in Vagina sex if you truly have no other choice. But try your very best not to, because if I were deciding, it would ensure you NEVER get that specific type of intercourse. My rant ends here. Jane.
