It feels like I’m stuck in a spot where no chastity tube seems to both stop me from climaxing and do it without hurting my skin or tissue too much. After the last incident, which took over a month to fully heal up, I don’t really want to dig any deeper.
Here is what I have tested so far. They were all different lengths, but the tube diameter turned out to be the main thing that mattered. I tried copper, PVC, exhaust hose, bilge tubing, and more. I’d love to know if anyone else has come to similar findings. Copper was surprisingly the most comfortable, even beating out softer tubes, though it did pinch a bit more. I used the stocking method to slide into the smaller ones. 1/2” diameter - I actually managed to get my glans through this once (with my wedding ring on) and nearly had to rush to the ER; there was severe chafing of the head when trying to pull it out after a strangulated priapism hit. If you ever get into this tricky spot, here is my advice: use whatever lube you can find, loop a string (I used a shoelace) around the ring to help pull it off, then guide the corona through starting from the rear top. I thought about giving up and calling an ambulance several times until I figured out the shoelace trick. 7/8” diameter, 1-1/2” length - gave up on this one because it seemed clear that continuing was either impossible or risky 1” diameter - got it in fine, tried masturbating but couldn’t reach orgasm; did some sexual activity (about 30 mins) and felt a lot of discomfort. After struggling to take the tube off (while flaccid with lube), I saw damage in a ring-shaped area around the top and bottom edges of the tube, plus significant chafing underneath. A big chunk of skin peeled off like a blister, which took over a month to heal. Ouch, not enjoyable. Clearly too narrow. 1-1/4” diameter - fairly easy to put on, painful throbs when it swells; some ring abrasion at the top and bottom showed up after removal. It was very clear I could reach orgasm, but I didn’t want to then (nor did I want more tissue damage). A few more tests with this setup produced similar results, and orgasm was still possible (with a little minor rubbing). 1-1/2” diameter - I put this on without needing lube or the stocking trick. It offered absolutely no chastity effect at all. I could reach orgasm (actually, an overly good one) without any penile stimulation at all (just the tube’s pressure) by stimulating my nipples for about 20 minutes. No real visible damage or wear. Obviously, I haven’t tried 1-1/8” or 1-3/8” tubes (these are tough to find in industrial parts, though available in marine tubing), but it seems the point is irrelevant. For me personally, I can reach orgasm with very little penile stimulation, and at such small diameters there is already a risk of damage just putting on or taking off the tube. Perhaps I am not enough of a “grower”, or maybe my pain tolerance is high enough that it doesn’t matter. Either way, I’m wary of chafing leading to infection as a reason to avoid orgasm. Does anyone else have similar results, basically concluding that chastity tubes aren’t really effective? I’m not interested in any other kind of device except for full urethral rerouting and ring infibulation (which, by the way, from my own tests, I know stops intercourse but doesn’t stop orgasm). Because I value discretion, belts or bulky cages are totally out (not to mention, I doubt they’d be much better). So I think I’m happy leaving things as they are. Like many here, you could say I actually enjoy it more as time goes on. I have never needed external enforcement, and that seems set to continue. Pity, but what can you do? My experiments gave me a list of downsides with zero upsides, except potentially better orgasms, which is sort of the opposite of what we want.
