My wife and I had been practicing chastity using the honor system for a while, but two weeks back we decided to give it a go with a cage. I managed to last 11 days before we agreed today to take the device off. We hadn’t really anticipated the emotional side effects that came along with it. Perhaps I am unique in this feeling, but once inside the cage, I often felt isolated, like an island by myself. While I liked how submissive it made me feel, there was also a sense of doing everything solo. The daytime hours were particularly tough because we weren’t interacting much, which deepened that loneliness. Last night after work, I found my eyes tearing up as I explained these feelings to her.
We discussed the situation last evening and again this morning, leading her to decide on removing the cage so we could return to our previous honor system setup. She never was overly fond of wearing one anyway. Our old way worked well for us; I just wanted to try the cage because it felt like the proper way to practice chastity—or as my wife humorously noted, “all the cool kids do it that way.” We gave it a shot and lasted 11 days. She mentioned she might bring it back later on for shorter stretches.
Although I am slightly disappointed in myself for not making the cage work long-term, I am relieved we communicated openly to reach this conclusion. Tonight’s conversation confirmed we are both content with the removal now. Without the hardware getting in the way, she can tease me more easily, and it is physically much better for me. The willpower needed isn’t an issue; my respect for her and our agreement drive me to keep my word.
We continue observing “Locktober” since I won’t be having an orgasm this month, even though a cage no longer controls that aspect.
I am still wearing diapers, which represents just a gentler version of chastity.:)
