I’ve lately shared with her my wish to be under her control both inside and outside our bedroom, naturally including chastity. She seems quite anxious when attempting tasks in bed; she doesn’t appear as dedicated as I am to learning the ropes. I send her articles for her to study so she can learn more, but often they sit unread (she claims forgetfulness). She might leave my key at home while I’m out alone—not testing me, just genuinely forgetting—or she’ll give in when I ask if it should come off and then request its removal herself. I wonder how best to support her; it feels like indifference masked by agreement on her part. I avoid nipping too much because I don’t want her feeling pressured, yet it seems she doesn’t spend enough personal time reading up or grasping what being a dom truly means. Any of you who are dominant now recall being shy about this at the start? If yes, what made that difference for you?

The positive aspect is her openness to the concept. This puts her ahead of many men who seek this dynamic. Patience likely holds the best counsel here. My wife deals with comparable challenges. You can softly remind her that your interest remains strong, hoping she gradually shifts perspective. Progress tends to be slow but steady. Regardless of pace, you are still guiding her into unknown waters. It suits both parties well if steps forward remain modest. Eventually, a shift might occur where she pushes you harder without warning. Or perhaps not. Be grateful she’s willing to experiment at all; many partners resist novelty entirely.
