Sorry if this runs long, but I thought providing some background would be useful. As mentioned in earlier posts, I practice self-locking. I have been into chastity for years, purchased my first cage (a CB-2000) last year and used it intermittently (for short periods of no more than a few days), then with greater seriousness this year (trying out various gadgets from DHGate - which yielded several disastrous outcomes - and recently returning to the CB-2000 once I realized my measurements were off, leading to an incorrect fit). I have kept myself locked for up to seven days at a stretch (not constantly secured during that period; I would remove it to check for sores or adjust the fit, but without ejaculating). Then last week, a local Domme with whom I had discussed my interest in chastity mentioned that if I remained locked continuously until Saturday’s kink party, she would reward me with some play. This oddly made the experience both more enjoyable and more challenging (so even when sores appeared, I was driven to re-lock myself just to resist temptation). The sensation pleased me greatly, prompting me to take the plunge and discuss device options with Mature Metal, while also asking a different Domme if she would agree to serve as my keyholder. The party arrived, along with my reward (though honestly it wasn’t quite what I had hoped for; I didn’t feel like engaging in an intense session compared to other times), and received permission to take off the cage since the week was complete. I returned home early morning, removed the device but did not use it immediately due to exhaustion. Four or five hours later (sleeping longer is difficult for me), I finally took advantage of being free… yet throughout the day found myself questioning chastity with a “WTF” attitude. I admit I was overly tired (which clouds judgment) and likely experiencing sub-drop (a rare occurrence, but when it hits, my response seems atypical: becoming even more analytical than usual). It might be similar to what Victor38 described. I believe the drop has passed, and no longer dislike the idea of chastity… however I am hesitant about spending $600 on a device that may sit unused (if I wish to continue with chastity, though, I feel I need such a piece because just one week of putting the CB-2000 on and off caused various sores:s). Especially since I live alone and prefer not to engage in sexual activities while single (even with the Domme who agreed to be my keyholder), and cuckolding does not appeal; thus I lack many of the external “encouragements” that others seem to have for staying locked. I have discussed this with local friends in the kink community, but I wondered if you all (who are surprisingly likely to be interested in chastity and possibly experienced:p) could share any advice.
