I was really turned on by the idea. Although four months would be my longest stretch yet, I knew I could handle it. This week, however, everything changed and the trip got cancelled. Then she bent over (my hands cuffed behind me) and said, “Since my trip is off, so is your reward. You won’t be allowed to join until this madness passes and I finally get my getaway. It now looks like I might join the long-term group. I recall a few years back when a single week felt like an eternity to me. I welcome the challenge even though it is tough.
