She got the news on Sunday, July 1st, but it actually happened by Wednesday. I’ve never been more thrilled than when she had her PA done. We’re inching closer to our target. Our dream of being together every hour, day and night is within reach. But there’s a catch. The healing period. I’ve been wondering how I’d handle the time she’s unlocked while it heals. I’m not in any hurry to cause her pain; I want her fully healed and safe first. Still, keeping her unlocked and ‘free’ for that long is quite a stretch. We often read about locked pets from their perspective, but we don’t hear enough about the KH (Key Holder) side—how they feel when their beloved one steps out of confinement. At first, I didn’t get it. I didn’t realize how much I needed this as much as she did. Now that she is unlocked and healing, I find myself quite anxious. This will be her longest stretch without being locked all year round. I almost feel unmoored, even though she is the one in chastity! This has been our constant reality. The charm of our unconventional dynamic starts a new chapter with at least three months of healing ahead. I trust we’re strong enough to endure this period, but that little voice of insecurity will likely pop up here and there. No doubt about it: even unlocked, she remains mine.
