Very interesting and life changing evening. My wife told her best girlfriend about my chastity per our agreement to share this with only her closest friends who are open-minded. Her g/f mentioned that orgasms have many medical benefits, such as lowering blood pressure and a few other issues bothering me. My wife Googled the benefits of an orgasm, and we were very surprised by what we found.
One finding was lowered blood pressure, something my wife thought might be linked to lack of orgasms when I mentioned that my blood pressure had been fluctuating up and down. I checked my blood pressure chart and sure enough, there was a correlation between the start of a chastity period and a rise in blood pressure, followed by a 20-point drop after my orgasm which leveled out at about 10 points lower than the highs.
Then we found several studies, including a recent one that seems to indicate more orgasms equate to a significant reduction in cardiac disease, as much as a 63% decrease. There was a whole list of possible benefits, some of which applied to problems I have had since starting chastity last year: sleep issues, daytime fatigue despite good night’s sleep with my CPAP machine, big swings in blood pressure, depression, and more.
We talked it over and agree that long-term chastity is not worth it. My orgasms are as intense as I ever felt, just after 2-3 weeks of chastity. Even my wife, who would be happy if I never had an orgasm again, feels the pros outweigh the cons for more frequent orgasms rather than fewer. She still wants to continue with the D/s dynamic but limit chastity periods to 1-3 weeks so that I won’t know when to expect it most of the time. I will keep recording my daily blood pressure, but this time also track my orgasm days along with mild depression, sleep quality, etc. If chastity is affecting my mental and physical health, it has to go. There is little benefit for me in not having orgasms, and my wife says she put up with me for over four decades so she can handle one or two more.
We will play it by ear for now. I am going to stay away from chastity websites for a while so that I do not focus on them as much as I have been. Do not know when I will post again but will try to update in a few months. Thanks for all the advice and information from the great people here, but I have to cool it for a while and focus on other areas of my life. Plus my wife was a little shocked at the amount of information about us that I have been posting all over the internet.:) She has not even told her sister that she is bisexual. She is still old-fashioned that way.
