“Alright, I have to admit that what I’m about to share isn’t exactly a ‘secret’ or particularly ‘great.’ But my subject line managed to grab you, right?
While reading through various posts here from guys whose wives or partners aren’t very sexually interested, I decided to share what works for me. It might not look like brilliant advice at first glance, but it could help someone out.
At least once a week, my wife and I lock ourselves in the bedroom for movie night. Our kids are grown enough now that they won’t bother us when we want privacy. We’ve got a nice TV on our dresser, a DVD player, and plenty of romantic films to pick from. We use DVDs we own as well as titles streamed wirelessly via Roku from Netflix and Amazon.
Some of these romances have predictable storylines, which you’d expect, but my wife and I still enjoy them anyway; they tend to put her in the mood. Because I’m locked up, I’m always ready for action. Sometimes, rarely, the plot gets a bit cheesy at the end, leaving my wife annoyed or dissatisfied with the film. In those cases, my hopes for physical release are dashed and I remain locked. But most of the time, we have fun after the credits roll, and you know exactly what kind of fun that is.
I won’t go into a long lecture on how women’s sexual interest builds differently than men’s, but suffice it to say this routine works reliably for both my wife and me. Any thoughts? I hope I haven’t bored anyone with this thread.
