I believe it would be wonderful if more individuals took the time to speak truthfully about themselves, openly sharing their real-life experiences and experiments, while candidly (and bravely) reflecting on what those moments meant to them, how they felt in the process, and what insights they gained.
Yet, instead of contributing earnestly with genuine life stories that add value, some prolific members use their time and influence to flood this place with thread after thread discussing how they think others should tailor their participation to appeal to yet another group.
Can you see the issue? It becomes a lot of posting about other people. They presume to know what this seemingly massive and coveted audience of “vanilla” onlookers might or might not want, or be put off by, etc., then assume everyone else should worry about that too. All without contributing much insight or depth that actually shows how chastity fits into one’s own life in a relatable way.
If I were one of those “vanilla” passersby, I truly believe I’d be more put off by the constant (and terribly boring, repetitive) threads on how to best attract them than by reading entries about topics I don’t care for. To me, the difference between these growing collections and the “how do I get my wife into chastity” threads is largely semantic and nearly just as manipulative. You’re trying to manipulate how everyone else presents themselves in order to better manage others.
Ultimately, you’ve done nothing but discourage members from posting honestly about themselves for fear of thinly veiled ridicule.
Genuine, open sharing that shows you are a real person rather than just some (insert fetish here) caricature will do more to present the many possibilities of this lifestyle to newcomers than 1000 threads discussing how best to do it. And doing so has the added benefit of not being so damn boring and redundant.
————————————— An example from my actual experience when I first arrived: @Dufty shared a thread in exactly that manner, and it was his post that made me stay when Thatgirl first showed me this place two years ago. Many elements of his story were WAY outside my comfort zone, but I didn’t care because those details weren’t the point. His entries included experiences with cuckolding and “forced” bi-sexuality, yet they weren’t about cuckolding or forced bi per se. They were about him, what was happening inside his head; those were just two among many recounted while he expressed himself. That distinction matters greatly, resulting in a very human and relatable story, even if certain specific topics weren’t palatable to me.
Contrast that with threads shallowly focused on a specific fetish (which tend to be unnecessarily graphic and tell you nothing about the author other than they REALLY love [fill in the fetish]). The difference is plain as day. Reality is almost never so off-putting.
