Even though correlation doesn’t prove causation, my partner and I have observed these changes in the two weeks since my last orgasm:
- He receives much more attention from me. I go so far as to drop what I am doing to greet him at the door when he returns home in the evening. Before, I would have kept going with whatever task was at hand, maybe for a couple of hours if I were busy on the PlayStation.
- We are having sex much more often. He had wanted more before but I wasn’t usually interested (who can guess why?), so he accepted once every week to ten days as normal. Now he reaches orgasm at least twice weekly (three times if he recovers quickly). This is one downside of being in a gay relationship while practicing chastity. I want it all the time, whereas he needs two or three days to recharge. Women might not face this issue, but then again, I wouldn’t know for sure.
- He mentions that I am significantly calmer—I haven’t lost my temper even once during this period. I usually have a short fuse and an explosive mood; I can snap at inanimate objects very quickly. The object often ends up destroyed—so many computer mice have suffered that fate!
- I haven’t felt depressed lately. Since becoming redundant last summer, I’ve had moments of sadness. It is perhaps too early to tell for certain, especially since my time in chastity has overlapped with the school holidays (my partner works as a teacher, so he acts as a constant companion), but I have not sensed even a whisper of depression. I hope these shifts stick around permanently, particularly the last one.
