After years of effort, multiple devices with different designs, and so on, I now possess a comfortable yet inescapable piece (a modified MatureMetal Jailbird) alongside a dominant who holds the key — or will within a few hours. Like many here, since discovering practical MCD, I’ve been captivated by it. These allow for things like doctor visits and emergency key access via a keysafe (which I hold but requires a 6-digit combination!), while taking almost all control of when the cage is worn away from me. The one exception: in most situations, I can put it on even if we aren’t together, though I will / cannot take it off. Part of our agreement involved an adjustment period where I retained key access, requiring at least 24 hours of continuous wear without physical distress (not just discomfort) or successful earnest escape attempts. Once that passed, Doc was allowed to declare the end of the adjustment and the start of full-control protocols when ready. The full protocols started a few hours ago.
