Rotator cuff surgery was a few months back for me, and today I visited my specialist. My Wife left the key with her because she didn’t want me heading to the doctor while locked up… although I usually keep it on during physio sessions, so it has been in place since the operation aside from those three clinic trips.
I’ve never felt more exposed, fragile, pitiful, and just SAD. I was genuinely grieving my freedom; nothing seemed correct.
Plus, my Wife is upset because I took out the key without Facetiming her while removing it. I suspect at least a spanking is in store for me.
Does anyone else experience that sense of loss when they are freed from their device?
