Chastity and orgasm denial discussion

It's not a competition. Specifically, wearing the device isn't usually the goal itself—it's just a means to an end. How much we wear it might show our commitment, but it shouldn't be treated as a magic number (though everyone has their own preference!) If your goal is *chastity*—whatever that implies for you, likely limiting orgasms and perhaps having control by a key holder—you can still be long-term chaste even if you remove the device weekly for cleaning or playtime, or daily just to go to work. Heck, some people practice chastity on their honor without any device at all. That's the crucial point, in my opinion: the device supports your *chastity* but is only a support. If you have gone a year without having any extra orgasms beyond those permitted by your KH (or if you don't have a keyholder and set your own orgasm frequency goals and stuck to them), then I say you've been chaste for that year, no matter how many hours the device was on.

For me, *chastity* is all about whether you reach climax or not. I will unlock (as I am doing right now since this morning) to give my body a short break. Then I’ll lock up again tonight once I head into the bedroom. I have remained chaste even though not locked in the device at that moment. Also, I am currently going through my longest imposed denial period: 18 days and 6 hours. I’m curious to see how others measure this as well.

There are two main aspects of *chastity*: denying the orgasm and being locked in a cage. 1. If the cage is taken off for play but no orgasm occurs and it is put back on, and this continues for months, some would call that long-term chastity. 2. If the cage is removed briefly for cleaning, no orgasm happens and the cage goes back on, and this continues for months, some consider that long-term chastity as well. 3. If the cage stays on because it can be cleaned without removal, no orgasm occurs (obviously), and this lasts for months, some view that as long-term *chastity* too. It depends on how you weigh wearing the cage against not orgasming. Keeping the cage on continuously for months with zero erections is quite a mental challenge. Some wives or mistresses think keeping the cage on is just as important as avoiding orgasm, which is my view, so I would answer 3; but practically this only works if the device allows enough cleaning without taking it off.

taking it out for cleaning is not just okay but highly desirable
