Apologies… yet another nighttime headache. I have to admit, after two weeks in the lockup, nights are still far from comfortable. My own Mr Happy is definitely a grower, and he does just that. I’m using a short metal cage with three rings; it basically lifts up during my nocturnal erections and drags my balls upward along with it… no pain at all, just slightly unsettling since everything ends up in places where they usually aren’t!! The lower half of the erection is exposed to view while the upper part sits inside the metal cage, with my testicles pulled halfway up the shaft!!:-( I’m not sure what I should do. My base ring is 45mm, which was as small as I could manage to ensure everything would pass through it properly. This issue never bothered me when I wore a curved device—even though that one was huge and awkward, making driving or sitting anywhere a nightmare! Does anyone else have this problem or experience similar issues?? Thanks
I used to suffer from that too, but back then I had a longer device and wore it for less than a month at a time! Three rings—it sounds like your cage might be too long. If the erection can begin, it will grow. But if the cage is so short that an erection doesn't even start, it won't. With extended lockups, both mind and body adjust to the reality of not being able to erect. Chastity becomes normal rather than new for you, making nocturnal erections rare.
I went with a super short metal type. It's basically just a small cup attached to the base ring. I'm also a grower and use a 50mm ring; otherwise, I get bruising and chafing on the shaft area. Trapped ball cages always pull down quite a bit. The downside for me is that I have to remove the cage part to urinate. I could opt for a design with bars for nighttime wear, but I prefer the stealth look where nothing shows. This short style works well for me. I previously had one with rings, and they would cut into my skin when I grew in them at night. A full bladder generally tries to trigger an erection anyway. If the base ring is too tight, it acts like a cock ring and keeps everything up even when you don't want it!
I’m dealing with similar problems. My ring simply CANNOT get any smaller, and my cage is literally my third attempt; I had to go custom-made. I have a thicker build and still have excess skin bulging out the back and between the rings. It’s not uncomfortable enough to be unbearable, but my point stands: it can’t shrink further. I wake up with the exact same situation, which causes discomfort and significant sleep loss because it doesn't resolve easily. I feel your frustration and hope for some varied and informative answers in this thread as well as in my comment lol
Some people find that wearing a chain around the waist to hold the cage closer against the body helps prevent nighttime erections from becoming so uncomfortable. I haven't tried it myself yet, but you should be able to find discussion threads explaining how it works.
