Birdlocked discussion

Hey there, I just bought a birdlocked mini device, and it did… alright. So far, none of them have been perfect performers. But I happened upon something really good. Swap out the plastic strap that secures the locking mechanism for a metal hose clamp (you can get one at any hardware store.) You can clip the slits on both sides of the strip, right where the normal locking pin would sit. Bend up the unclipped slit into a hump shape so the lock fits through it. This gives you a tighter and adjustable band—you just turn the screw to tighten or loosen as needed—and if the lock is positioned correctly, it stays put. I hope I made that clear enough. Feel free to ask questions. My wife liked this setup because when she wanted to punish me, she’d tighten the screw for short intervals (10-30 minutes) to tease without causing real damage. Then she’d turn the screw back a few times to loosen it again. The lock position prevents it from loosening too much. Plus, being metal adds extra security to the device.
