Inquiries About Cages Without Ball Traps

I’m searching for several non-ball trap devices to pair with my PA piercing, but there are a few details I haven’t quite figured out yet, and my search skills aren’t yielding any useful answers. The primary reason I want a device without an A-ring is that I have plenty of hair; most ring shapes and sizes eventually cause tears in the skin between follicles, making ball-traps rather miserable and uncomfortable to wear. The main contender for me is the Male Chastity Now Mousetrap, which seems to get great reviews—it’s lightweight, simple, and its minimal aesthetic is definitely appealing. My second choice is the Steelworks Tube 02. So here are my questions:

1. What is it actually like trying to have an erection while wearing these? I’m somewhat deterred by the horror stories about cock rings being too tight and requiring cutting off. Perhaps the length of these devices makes a difference compared to standard rings. Obviously, they need to grip a flaccid penis well, and as someone who grows more than he spreads, that expansion needs to be controlled before it becomes an emergency room visit!
2. Do any have experience with them while uncircumcised? I’m comfortable keeping my foreskin retracted for days at a time, and I assume the piercing loop holds the tube in place with any loose skin tucked underneath. My plan would be weekly removals to rest and check things over—seems like that’s the standard duration for these types of devices. As for cage type—I’m just much more comfortable locking away inside metal, so 3D-printed or plastic options don’t appeal to me at all.
