Bought an electronic one that releases through an app. Wore it for about a week with no trouble. On Saturday morning the app could not see it and it turns out the battery had gone flat overnight, which I had not thought was possible because I had charged it on Thursday.
I got out in the end, which I will explain, but I want to be clear that for about ninety minutes I did not know that I was going to. There is no keyhole on this thing. There is no manual release. The entire exit route was a piece of software talking to a battery that had stopped existing.
What do people who use these actually do about this? Because I have read the manual twice now and the manual’s answer is essentially do not let the battery go flat.
