Hi everyone, greetings! We are new here.
We recently realized that we were both quite excited about the concept of chastity and keyholding, along with some other D/s activities (though those aren’t critical to this post). Naturally, a Curve device was purchased, and the key was given as a surprise on Thursday the 4th, so it is still fairly new. I have many questions ahead; please forgive the length of this message. It can be difficult to find clear answers or thorough instructions for these niche products. If reading numerous words from someone very new to chastity annoys you, feel free to skip!:)
At the store, I debated between a CB6000 and a Curve. The CB models seemed too small but looked sexier, while the Curve appeared rather large and bulky. The shop assistant recommended the CB6000 for me. However, I chose the Curve after spending hours experimenting with spacers to see what worked and what didn’t. Now, I wonder if she was right. Of course, she couldn’t see my cock directly, so her advice likely stemmed from experience with standard cages. My size is above average but nothing gigantic.
Current Setup of the Curve: Third largest ring, longest locking pin used with spacers.
When flaccid, I almost completely fill the Curve, suggesting it might be the correct choice, though I remain unsure because: (As a Dane, I am uncircumcised and have considerable foreskin, enough to cover the glans almost entirely when fully erect. We are not willing to risk circumcision, so fitting the Curve can be tricky. The skin either bunches up at the start of the curve or stretches through it and gathers at the end (using a sock method as suggested on this forum). This bunching isn’t a huge issue, but I suspect it might cause some of my problems.)
When erect, the curve is pushed forward away from the penis root, leaving a gap between the root and ring while “tightening” the scrotum. When soft again, I can pull the Curve back toward its original position by drawing the skin of the balls away from my body, though it doesn’t sit completely tight at the root in that ideal way. This bothers me because it somewhat ruins the device’s appearance compared to photos of other cages from the same manufacturer (though those are often not “hard” shots). If this is normal intended behavior for the Curve, this question may be irrelevant.
Can this be avoided? Is it due to incorrect ring size or my penis being too small for the curve?
Regarding the rings: I have tried all of them. The smallest acts like a cock ring, making it hard to get the main body onto the penis and causing swift bluing of the balls. The second smallest has similar issues. The third smallest (which is currently in use) has somewhat comparable problems when erecting or fitting the device, but not as severely. Erections take time to subside, which is a big issue during sleep; I often wake up in pain—not the pleasant kind. Upon waking, my penis seems fine and goes flaccid quickly, so full night’s sleep is nice. This ring works best when flaccid (I haven’t used “flaccid” that many times in quick succession before) and somewhat well when erect, except for the nighttime pain. The second largest feels very comfortable but is too loose when soft. It “crawls” down the shaft to rest on the scrotum; I can fit a little finger through the gap. I fear escape might be possible, though I won’t try it yet as part of my effort not to “cheat.” Being secure in chastity, knowing there is no way out except sabotage, makes it all more enjoyable. The largest ring remains untried.
Am I using the right sized rings? Is there a definitive way to be sure?
What are spacers for and how should they be used correctly? Should a smaller locking pin be preferred? I have tried all three pins: medium length with two points of intrigue, short alone, and long (both with spacers). Is it merely trial and error? The complication is that she is going away this weekend. We want the device to be properly set up and inescapable but also wish to avoid “slow castration.” We do have an extra key hidden somewhere unknown to me, so if issues arise, I can remove or reapply the device. This serves as a temporary safety measure which we hope to dispense with soon.
If you have read this far, thank you! If you provide answers, we will celebrate and be happy! I will add some pictures shortly so you can see what is happening. Lots of love, Edit: General tips are very welcome!!!
