I’m still shopping around for a new cage. The steel HT (a knock-off, I believe) looks promising and we both like it, but the question is how to best use my current PA to stop pull-out. Not that I would necessarily want to change things up entirely; CAN NOT has its own strong appeal.
We aren’t particularly attached to the guardian model either; a few reviews have left us underwhelmed.
The steelworx security fixing (which is actually custom-made by me) works fine, but my Fort with the cbxxxx series features two guide pins that could be used for stability. When there isn’t an obvious mounting point like those guide pins, HT makers often suggest using a guardian, though this doesn’t entirely convince us.
Has anyone else considered this issue or found a solution regarding attaching something to the PA and then connecting it internally within their HT?
I plan to pick up one of those inexpensive Chinese copies of the plastic version just for testing around with, but I’m sure there are others out there who are much more inventive than me.
By the way, why on earth did they mess up the lines of the HT by adding those two unnecessary holes? Anyone claiming they serve as vents is being unrealistic. Bah!
