I just got my sixth stainless steel cage. Now I have twelve keys that are keyed alike (lol). Two of the keys came with a spare lock and went into my travel bathroom case, while all the others were ringed together and put inside my wooden lock box… What do you people do with them? Do you destroy them or just keep them stored? …
Mrs Edge is notorious for losing the keys (which happens easily when they are only used a few times each year), so having extras isn't such a bad thing. After she nearly snapped one of my keys in the lock, I found some better barrel locks and swapped them all out. Now there's an emergency key on my ring, she has a couple more, and we won't have to scramble before heading off for trips with the doctors or anyone else.
I own five cages but only use one. Some of them come with those little padlocks attached to them. The cage I'm wearing right now has two keys. My Wife (KH) wears one around her neck and I hope she's hidden the other one somewhere in the house among the rest of the keys...
