I’ve finally come across an article that perfectly captures the type of marriage we shared. While many labeled us a poly triad, our perspective was always ‘monogamish,’ prioritizing our union and each other above all else. Others describe it as ethical non-monogamy. Given that I had a girlfriend for three decades and participated in various forms of group sex over the years, it’s hard to claim we were strictly monogamous during most of our 44-year marriage. Actually, we’ve only been truly monogamous for the past six years, a transition we are still navigating. Chastity play serves as one method to manage this dynamic. Both my wife and I feel that without it, we would have divorced long ago; we both require other women in our lives.
