Hi all. For those who haven’t heard yet, I just had a frenum piercing done three weeks ago today.
The first week was smooth sailing and everything looked pretty standard. A few days back, though, I spotted some redness surrounding the hole where the needle entered; the other side is totally fine.
I’m not sure what to make of it since almost a week has passed and it hasn’t cleared up. I wash it every day using an antiseptic soap (Betadine Scrub) and have recently begun doing salt water soaks.
There’s no pus leaking out, nor is there much heat, so I don’t believe it’s infected. It feels somewhat itchy and gives a slight sting when pressed too hard.
Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to handle it? Cheers!
