If you search within the circles that share ‘your thing’, you boost your chances of meeting someone with that specific interest, but relying on one shared passion for a lasting relationship feels insufficient to me. This means you might lower your odds of finding someone with many other compatible traits beyond just our kink. The recent split from my current (now former) partner was very amicable and expected; it felt inevitable, and we both knew it would happen eventually. I believe I will remain open to a lucky encounter with a potential soul-mate and life companion without rushing. There is an ex-partner of mine who moves quite extensively in the local fetish world, but I have no desire to rekindle that acquaintance, so I don’t frequent those circles anymore.
