Clarifying Forum Rules and Civility Standards

Greetings everyone! Nerves are on edge, fear is spreading, and a chunk of Americans no longer trust their media outlets. Consequently, we’re witnessing political talk in our forums for the first time in ages. We aren’t going to muzzle anyone. As you wish, engage in lively debate within the Member forum, which serves as “for everything else”. Even though we are primarily an orgasm denial and control community rather than a political one. Civility is important to us too. So where do we draw the line? The boundary lies at name-calling, direct or group attacks on members, and what gets termed “invective”—insulting, abusive, or sharply critical words. We’ll always rely on moderator judgment to determine what qualifies as invective. A passionate, frustrated outburst is perfectly acceptable. Personally though, I recommend leaning towards civility even when annoyed; tempers stay cooler that way. If something seems excessive, we will edit the post with a moderation note removing the problematic part to keep peace. We’ll also send a private warning and might add a general “please remain civil” comment in the thread. Persistent rude behavior leads to bans—starting with about a week before becoming permanent if it continues. This hasn’t happened often, so let’s hope it stays hypothetical. Policymaking discussion is welcome here as we navigate these unusual times and adapt to politics on a sex forum.
