The misses and I were enjoying some play time. It had been a few days since we last did. I asked, “How long has it been since our last time together?” The answer was last week, though she couldn’t pinpoint the exact day. “Perhaps we should mark it on the calendar.” She chuckled. “We do struggle with keeping track of how much time passes.” “I’m considering allowing you to release at month’s end.” “I don’t think that works well.” Another laugh followed. “Seriously though, what if something unexpected happens? What if the last day doesn’t suit us?” “Then we’ll just aim for the next month’s final day instead.” “That feels a little rigid.” “Just remember: be careful what you wish for!”
