I’m just about to order from Mature Metal and want to double-check that I’m not making any obvious mistakes before committing (since this will cost me a week’s scholarship!). I’ve been emailing them with my questions, but more opinions are always welcome:) (I think asking several things at once might confuse them a bit:p)
I’m uncut, and I have what is considered “grower” anatomy. Right now I am self-locking (fingers crossed this changes soon!:p)
For reference, I currently use a CB-2000 with the 1 3/4” ring (the 1 3/4” felt slightly loose, while the 1 1/2” was too tight). The cage is listed as 2.5” long, but my foreskin and meatus tend to poke through the bars and get caught:s
Here are my thoughts on the Mature Metal device:
- Queen’s Keep (I think it looks better than the Jailbird while still being open enough for good hygiene)
- Oval double base ring in 1 3/4” size (I ordered their sizing rings; the 1 3/4” slides a little when I push or pull on top/bottom, but although the 1 5/8” fits, it feels too tight. The slight oval shape should help reduce sliding)
- Length of 2 3/4” (My measurements hover around this number; instructions say to subtract 1/4”, and I’m sure the CB-2000’s 2 1/2” is definitely too short for me)
- Cage diameter of 1 1/2” (Same internal size as my CB-2000. It felt a bit roomy, but even when flaccid I have to jiggle the 1 3/8” ring on properly)
- Security screw
Would it be worth buying an additional 1 5/8” base ring in case I get used to the fit and want something tighter later? It’s mid-spring here and warm, so I don’t think a larger ring is necessary right now (especially since I go home for Christmas etc. and prefer not to wear it around family).
I considered adding either the spike strip or anti-pullout pins, but I’m not into CBT, have no plans to pull out, and would rather save cash:p (If I could add/remove the pins without unlocking, I might consider them for times when attending a fetish party or socializing with a Dominant Female—since it would give her some amusement at my predicament—but I don’t want to risk temptation if the security screws wiggle loose just for that.)
I also thought about getting a locking cock ring compatible with this base ring, either for after release (so I stop hitting myself on the post) or when I take off the cage but still want something locked; however Mature Metal advised against it because without support during sleep, morning erections could cause pain:(
So I guess I just need to be careful when released:p (And for budget reasons, I don’t want a full locking cock ring with its own base ring, particularly if I do buy that second base ring.)
Does anyone have other suggestions or see anything I might have missed?
