Evaluation of the Birdlocked Mini (
Much of this might have been addressed in other reviews, but when it comes to selecting a device, you can never get too much information.
First impressions. For something labeled ‘mini’, it initially appears quite large, yet once worn, everything seems logical. It was significantly softer than I anticipated, and the quality of its one-piece molding is impeccable.
Getting it on. I expected this to be a genuine struggle, especially given what I’ve read and considering my high, tight scrotum as the title suggests. To apply it, I used plenty of Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) around my penis and scrotum, just like I always do with my CB2000. First, with the security strap loose, I slid each testicle through the bottom of the cock ring individually, ensuring I pulled as much of my scrotum upward as possible to prevent my testicles from popping back out. Next, I guided my penis through the top opening of the cock ring and into the tube section for the shaft, using two fingers to confirm it was positioned correctly inside. Then, I drew the bottom strap toward the cock ring and wrapped the security strap around that ring, closing it with the pin before fastening it with a padlock.
Comfort. I’ve worn it for 24 hours now and barely notice its presence. I slept through the night without being disturbed by it. Typically, I apply Vaseline to my scrotum several times daily to prevent chafing, which seems effective. The security strap is tightened as much as possible, though I’m certain you could easily punch another hole in it if a tighter fit suits your preference. My testicles haven’t attempted to pop out even once, avoiding that excruciating pain many experience with CBXXX devices.
I’ll check back in a few days to report on my progress, but so far, things are looking up. Considering I likely last wore my CB2000 for extended periods about a year ago, I am amazed at how comfortable and natural the Birdlocked Mini feels.
Security Like most ball closure style devices, it isn’t 100% secure, but it certainly feels more stable than the CB2000. Because the material is rubber, it grips your penis firmly, making pull-out difficult though not entirely impossible. Conversely, full reinsertion would likely be impossible without your Dominant noticing that you have pulled out. Regarding removal of the entire device, this is probably feasible; however, putting it back on with the security strap locked would be unfeasible. Furthermore, pulling it off completely would undoubtedly hurt your testis.
These devices are best characterized as deterrents and constant reminders of the commitment to chastity you have made. I am very satisfied with the level of security this device provides. To enhance lock, you can always pair a PA cable with a Prince Albert ring. However, in my experience, it doesn’t work well if you have a longer-than-average foreskin because it rubs and pinches—and believe me, it really hurts.
Overall I’m pleased with it; I think I’ve found a device that suits me personally. Everyone is different, but hopefully, this will assist others in making their decision. Compared to the CB2000, it is significantly better. The CB2000 tends to be bulky, hard, and not very secure. Well, at least that’s my opinion of it. You can still find a CB2000 for £60 even though CB announced they were halting production, but I would likely spend the extra £40 on a Birdlocked.
One point to note is that this device was very kindly given to me after I asked if anyone had a mini available for sale. However, after spending a considerable amount on both a CB2000 and a CB3000, I wish the Birdlocked had been released around the same time I purchased those devices.
(Just realized I forgot to add) It’s practically invisible under clothing. Even if you brush past someone, they would be none the wiser. No more wearing tight underwear.
