Hello! I’m attempting to figure out the correct ring size for a custom steel device. This is my first time getting one, and I want something that feels right from day one, or as close as possible for comfort during wear and hygiene while showering. To find the base ring size I need, I bought a set of plastic sizing rings.
Unfortunately, my testicles don’t hang low; they sit tight against my scrotum. Last week, I tried a 2” ring which stayed on throughout the day but slipped off at night. It felt fairly snug. Because it came loose, I gave a 1 7/8” ring a try and used baby oil gel to help slide it on more easily, as someone here suggested. However, I couldn’t get my tight scrotum balls through the opening. They seemed to move together toward the upper part of my scrotum when I tried threading one through. The slippery nature of the baby oil gel might have made it harder to grip a ball and pull it in. Ultimately, I failed to put on the 1 7/8” ring initially.
Eventually, I managed to get the 1 7/8” ring on by first using a stretchy cock ring to hold my balls back, then pulling each one through the plastic sizing ring separately. The 1 7/8” was quite tight but did slip off my scrotum eventually. Next up is trying a 1 3/4” ring, which will be very snug.
Should the base ring be extremely tight to prevent slipping out (even in the shower), or should it come off during washing? I was hoping to purchase a custom steel cage because they seem easier to clean under running water, but their rings are solid with no split at the top. Has anyone else here dealt with similar problems? Any advice would be great.
