Hi all, I picked up an Alcatraz cage from Fancy-a-Fetish, a UK-based brand. As expected, I’ve been dealing with some fit issues. The initial trouble came down to how I secured the cage against my body. I wore stretchy boxer-briefs featuring a front opening through which I slid the cage, keeping the base ring pressed tight to my skin. Over time though, the skin on the bottom of my penis would get caught between the bars and snagged by the fabric. This chafing caused issues that eventually led to broken skin, requiring me to take breaks from wearing it so things could heal. I switched to the shoestring technique as a fix: wrapping a long lace or similar cord around my hips and tying it off at the post on the base ring (where the cage attaches). This appeared to resolve most of those early issues. The downside is that this method pulls the cage upward and tighter against me, bringing back irritation near the base underneath the penis. Also, I’ve developed straight bruises running lengthwise along the underside; I suspect these come from the bars pressing hard into my skin and tissue there. It seems like there’s adequate space inside the cage itself, and the base ring isn’t overly small. Here are a couple of ideas I’m considering:
- Opt for a cage that has a solid metal section near the shaft base to stop the pinching and chafing.
- Downsize my current 50mm ring (perhaps to 47mm or even 45mm) to help prevent slippage altogether, potentially eliminating the need for the shoelace fix. Any advice? Suggestions? Comments? Has anyone else dealt with similar problems and found a good solution?
