Freshly locked up... edema questions?

Hello everyone. Quick background: My wife (who holds the key) and I began experimenting with chastity roughly three weeks ago. I’ve been locked for fifteen days now, having had one night off from the device last Thursday. Initially, we bought an inexpensive option on eBay that fit poorly. After checking reviews and opinions here, we chose to get an MCN Contender, which has stayed on me since it arrived (15 days). The budget-friendly unit caused edema just under the glans along the underside of my shaft. Once I took it off, everything returned to normal in about three days… Questions/Concerns: Today, I noticed a significant patch of edema developing in that same spot on the underside. My current device is slightly oversized for me (~1/4” diameter and 1” length), so I’m getting another one this month to fix it. Could an overly large size lead to edema? Should I take the device out right now, or can I wait until Friday (my planned release)? It doesn’t hurt; I just want to avoid any lasting damage. I’ve also noticed that alongside swollen glands from fullness, my member is a bit thicker than usual, which seems normal… The base ring feels like it fits well—not too loose and not too tight. Please share your experiences and thoughts.
